A chic little café on the ground-floor corner of one of Baker's numerous historic buildings, Earth & Vine sticks to sandwiches, flatbread pizza, fondue, and other simple treats. Regional varieties occupy much of the short wine list, but owner Mary Ellen Stevenson keeps many more bottles in the cellar than she prints on the menu, so ask for a recommendation. Local art, live music, and periodic sushi nights pack in the Baker City creative class, as does brunch on weekends.
