Tamástslikt Cultural Institute

Tamástslikt Cultural Institute Review

Per the Tamástslikt Cultural Institute, its mission is "to document and preserve traditions and practices that distinguish the Confederated Tribes from any other peoples." Located at the Wildhorse Casino Resort, the 45,000-square-foot building depicts history from the perspective of the Cayuse, Umatilla, and Walla Walla tribes. (Tamástslikt means "interpret" in the Walla Walla native language.) An art gallery showcases art of local and regional tribal artists. There's also a museum gift shop, theater, and café. School groups are invited to tour.
