Four Rivers Cultural Center and Museum

Four Rivers Cultural Center and Museum Review

Learn about Ontario's multiethnic heritage, including the populations of Northern Paiute Indians, Japanese-Americans, Mexican-Americans, and people from the Basque country that have called the Malheur country home. Most moving is a reconstructed barracks from a Japanese-American World War II internment camp. Outside the museum, an idyllic Japanese garden is dedicated to the memory of interned Japanese Americans, and visitors can admire its spare foliage and ornate fountains. A 645-seat theater presents music, drama, and other events, from local productions to the Oregon Symphony.
