Crater Lake National Park covers 183,224 acres. Located in southern Oregon less than 100 miles from the California border, it's surrounded by several Cascade Range forests, including the Winema and Rogue River national forests. Of the nearby towns, Klamath Falls is closest at 60 miles south of the park; Ashland and Medford, to the southwest, are approximately 80 miles and 90 miles from the lake, respectively, with Roseburg the farthest away at 110 miles northwest of the park.
