Metolius River Resort Review

Each of the individually owned cabins at this resort has splendid views of the sparkling Metolius River, decks furnished with Adirondack chairs, full kitchens, fireplaces—and are all in immaculate condition. Children are allowed, but management asks that they respect the resort's request to maintain a "peaceful and quiet area." And therein lies its beauty: the genuine get-away-from-it-all feel of a private residence nestled in ponderosa pines and aspen. Not to mention that one of the best fly-fishing rivers in the Cascades flows right outside your window, and a gourmet restaurant is mere steps away. Make sure to drive in north from Hwy. 20—other routes are dangerous or ill-advised.
