Metolius River Resort Review

Each of the 12 individually owned cabins at this resort has splendid views of the sparkling Metolius River, decks furnished with Adirondack chairs, a full kitchen, a fireplace—and are all in immaculate condition. Children are allowed, but management asks that they respect the resort's request to maintain a "peaceful and quiet area." And therein lies its beauty: the genuine get-away-from-it-all feel of a private residence nestled in ponderosa pines and aspen. Not to mention that one of the best fly-fishing rivers in the Cascades flows right outside your window and a gourmet restaurant is mere steps away. Make sure to drive in north from Hwy. 20—other routes are dangerous or ill advised.
