Drake Park and Mirror Pond
Drake Park and Mirror Pond Review
Bend's first city park is also its most prominent and lovely. Eleven acres of exactingly manicured greensward and trees snake along the banks of the Deschutes just a few blocks west of downtown. At the far western end of Bend's favorite greenspace, you'll see the High Wheel, a salute to antique logging equipment. It's big... but not as big as Drake Park's "Munch n' Music" free summer concert series. Running and walking trails lead to footbridges that will take you out to beautifully renovated, early-20-century neighborhoods.
