High Desert Museum Review

The West was actually wild, and this combo museum/zoo proves it. Kids will love the up-close-and-personal encounters with gila monsters, snakes, porcupines, Vivi the bobcat, and Snowshoe the lynx. Actors in costume take part in the Living History series, where you can chat with stagecoach drivers, boomtown widows, pioneers, and homesteaders. Peruse the 110,000-square-feet of indoor and outdoor exhibits, or wander along a quarter-mile nature exhibit trail, to experience how the past can truly come alive.

    High Desert Museum Review

My family loves this museum and we visit often. There's always something new going on. We love the animals and my kids love to interact with the pioneers back at the ranch homestead. The mix of history, science, animals and kids' activities offers something for every age of our family.
PS: the admission is for one day only now, not two.
