Dine in the formal, wood-panel dining room with elevated levels, brass railings, and skylights, or the spacious bar with its checkerboard floor and wood-fire pizza oven. This Bexley restaurant draws a lively crowd for pizza, pasta, rack of lamb, and seafood dishes. The chef makes great desserts. In the evenings, there's live music -- jazz musicians or a piano player perform in the bar Monday through Saturday.

Hidden Treasure
Posted by Teri from Austin, TX on 3/31/06
I had been wanting to catch some music at Bexley's Monk but kept missing out. I decided to stop in for a scouting mission and have dinner and familiarize myself with the layout. The servers were attentive and informative, especially Connie. She walked me through the menu and helped me make a few decisions. The overall service was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect. I wish I had stopped in later in the day to listen to the music with my dinner, but I will be back for that. My meal was delicious, everything was cooked to perfection and the ingredients were all fresh. It's close to my parents home and I intend to expose them to this treasure right around the corner.
