More than just a shopping destination, this outdoor Disneyesque village, complete with two town-square areas with fountains, is an entertainment enclave with 40 restaurants, bars, and bistros; a 30-screen movie theater; the Funny Bone Comedy Club; and Gameworks interactive games and attractions. Even the McDonald's has a karaoke booth where you can record CDs. Easton is 16 minutes, or about 11 mi, from Downtown in the northeast part of the city.

At the Shadowbox Cabaret, an ensemble of musicians and actors that doubles as the wait staff delivers a high-energy mix of outrageous original comedy sketches, theatrical shorts, and live rock 'n' roll music every evening and for one Sunday afternoon show. 164 Easton Town Center. 614/416-7625. www.shadowboxcabaret.com.
