Christy's & Lenhardt's

Christy's & Lenhardt's Review

Schnitzel, Viennese and Hungarian goulash, sauerbraten, and potato pancakes are served at this casual place. The outdoor beer garden is a great summer escape.

Poor excuse for dinner on a birthday. We went to this restaurant on a Saturday evening as a beginning to my birthday celebration and boy was it a bad idea. We were immediately escorted to a small crowded room with a poorly painted (stained) ceiling and sat right in the middle of the room. The wait staff is very attentive, but thats to be expected when your table is right in front of the door and everyone has to walk past to enter or leave the room. The appetizers were delicious and really had me looking forward to the actual meal but it was just a tease. The burger I ordered was not cooked fully, it was weighed down with green peppers, soaked in butter and covered in cheese. My bun was stale and cold as were the chips that covered my plate. My drink was kept cold and refilled but the $60 we spent for the 2 of us to enjoy a nice dinner was money wasted. I normally would have spoken to the manager or owner and made my point and not paid for the burger I took one bite from, but I didn't want to ruin my b-day and just wanted to get on with the evenings fun events we had planned. Thank god the rest of the night went off without a hitch and made the awful dinner a distant memory. I will NEVER eat there again and suggest anyone looking for a nice restaurant steer clear of this dump!

  • Big 10 campuses

I thought it might be fun to try to visit all of the Big 10 campuses in a year (or thereabouts).

Anyone have any suggestions for not-to-be-missed campus or area sites?

Thanks for your help. Read more
