Parks, Downtown
Fodor's Review:
The 22-acre riverfront park, opened in celebration of the city's 200th birthday in 1988, uses monuments to tell the story of Cincinnati's origins. Note the flying pigs, a playful reminder of the city's past prominence as a meatpacking center (the pigs are also near the finish for the city's Flying Pig Marathon). There are hiking and biking trails, jogging paths, and great picnic spots. During the spring and summer, the area plays host to Party in the Park, a laid-back gathering with food, drinks, and live music, held every other Wednesday.
