The North Carolina Mountains Sights

Mt. Pisgah

Fodor's Review

The 5,721-foot Mt. Pisgaht is one of the most easily recognized peaks around Asheville due to the television tower installed there in the 1950s. It has walking trails, a picnic area, an amphitheater where nature programs are given most evenings June through October, and a campground, inn, restaurant, and small grocery a short distance away. The nearby area called Graveyard Fields is popular for blueberry picking in midsummer. Fairly easy hiking trails take you to waterfalls.
