Fodor's Review

The 12-story Hotel Indigo, part of the IGH Hotels chain, and within easy walking distance of downtown, has furnishings and artwork crafted by local Asheville artists and views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and downtown. Rooms, done in striking colors like teal and aubergine, have oversize beds, flat-screen TVs, and walk-in showers. Sixteen suites on the upper floors offer panoramic views from floor-to-ceiling windows, living rooms, and garden tubs; some have terraces and

fireplaces.A concierge here can do everything from plan your day to help arrange an engagement proposal. While it's about a 15-minute walk to the center of downtown, it's just two blocks from the Grove Arcade, and there are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.
