Two miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, down a narrow winding road, sits one of the most stunning small inns in the mountains, constructed of stone and cedar, in the Arts & Crafts style. Twelve large rooms each have a real wood-burning fireplace, a bathtub with a view (there's also a separate shower), and French doors that open onto a private balcony. A chef prepares delicious meals. With no air-conditioning it can feel a little warm at times in summer. Sassafras Cabin
is a private retreat about 100 yards from the inn.
