The Orchard
The Orchard Review
Situated in a century-old farmhouse with brown wood shakes, The Orchard is the best restaurant in Cashiers, putting a Southern twist on traditional American dishes. Try the mountain trout, served four different ways, including with almonds, pecans, or herbs, or the rack of venison. While the decor is comfortable rather than fancy, with some kitchy Southern touches such as an old Mail Pouch chewing tobacco sign, dinner prices are higher than you'd expect for a small town. The restaurant now offers wine and beer. Reservations advised in-season.
