Thomas Wolfe's Angel
Thomas Wolfe's Angel Review
In his novel Look Homeward, Angel, Asheville-born Thomas Wolfe makes many references to an angel statue. The famous angel, in real life carved from Italian marble by Wolfe's father, stands in Hendersonville's Oakdale Cemetery, marking the graves of a family named Johnson.
