Riverside Cemetery
Riverside Cemetery Review
Authors Thomas Wolfe and O. Henry are buried here, along with about 13,000 others, including some of Asheville's most prominent citizens. The 87-acre cemetery dating from 1885 and overlooking the French Broad River in the historic Montford area has flower gardens and ancient oaks and poplars. Take a drive through the cemetery, where signs direct you to the graves of noted people.
