Fodor's Review

In summer you can skid 60 feet on a natural waterslide, fueled by 11,000 gallons of mountain water a minute, into a clear, cold pool. The pool is 6 to 8 foot deep, so you need to know how to swim. Wear old jeans and tennis shoes and bring a towel. Lifeguards are on duty daily 10–6 from Memorial Day to Labor Day; you can slide at other times, but it's at your own risk. On warm summer days the parking area (fee $2) is often very crowded. No picnicking is allowed at the

Rock, but there are grounds nearby.
