Haywood Park Hotel Review

Location is the main draw of this refurbished, all-suite downtown hotel, which is within walking distance of many of Asheville's shops, restaurants, and galleries. The Haywood Park Hotel at one time was the site of a Bon Marché and Ivey's department store. The hotel gives a nod to its history with mannequins and announcements on the elevator like "Fourth Floor, Women's Clothing." A player piano makes music in the lobby. The suites are spacious, with 43-inch flat-screen TVs and large bathrooms in Spanish marble. There's a small shopping galleria in the atrium and a sidewalk café. Lots of extras, from a glass of champagne at check-in to a gift bag at check-out.

    Haywood Park Hotel Review

this is a favorite hotel in Asheville. It is located in the center of downtown within easy walking distance of a number of restaurants and shops. It also has very easy access to the convention center where many of the big craft shows are held.

The rooms are exceptionally large, very comfortable and kept clean. There is a bar on the first floor and an excellent restaurant, the Flying Frog, in the basement.

    Highly recommended.
