Location is the biggest draw of this all-suite downtown hotel, which is within walking distance of many of Asheville's shops, restaurants, and galleries. Once the site of a Bon Marché and Ivey's department store, the hotel gives a nod to its history with mannequins and announcements on the elevator like "Fourth Floor, Women's Clothing." A player piano makes music in the lobby. The suites are spacious, with 43-inch flat-screen TVs and large bathrooms in Spanish marble. There's a small shopping mall and café in the atrium and a restaurant, Isa's Bistro, with sidewalk seating. A stay here also comes with lots of extras, from a glass of champagne at check-in to a gift bag at check-out.

this is a favorite hotel in Asheville. It is located in the center of downtown within easy walking distance of a number of restaurants and shops. It also has very easy access to the convention center where many of the big craft shows are held. The rooms are exceptionally large, very comfortable and kept clean. There is a bar on the first floor and an excellent restaurant, the Flying Frog, in the basement. Highly recommended.
