Getting Here and Around
From the east, drive to the island on U.S. 64; from the Outer Banks, follow U.S. 158 to U.S. 64. Although Manteo's main drag and downtown waterfront have sidewalks, a car is useful for visiting the town's various sites. Charter flights are available at Dare County Regional Airport.
