Fodor's Review

Members of the entertainment industry often frequent the Wilmingtonian. Each luxurious suite has a different theme—classic movies, nautical heritage, country French, and so on. Rooms are spread throughout three buildings set in gardens, including a former convent. Request ground-floor accommodations if stairs are a problem; there are no elevators.

The Wilmingtonian is a break from Corporate Hotel Blues

I recently stayed at the Wilmingtonian and had a great time. The rooms are clean and well appointed. My suite had a kitchen and a washer and dryer. The location could not have been better in downtown Wilmington. It is within walking distance of the river and many local shops and place to eat. If your tired of the same old thing at corporate hotels, try the Wilmingtonian!
