White Lake
White Lake Review
The white, sandy bottom at this Carolina bay in Bladen County is clearly visible. Because the lake has no currents, tides, or hidden depressions, it has a reputation as the "nation's safest beach." Although White Lake has under 1,000 year-round residents, the lake draws 40,000 to 50,000 people each summer because of its swimming, boating, wake boarding, Jet Skiing, and waterskiing opportunities. Other attractions include an amusement park and tent and private RV/camping accommodations.
