The North Carolina Seafood Festival
The North Carolina Seafood Festival Review
The North Carolina Seafood Festival, on the first weekend in October, is much anticipated and heavily attended; it has celebrated the Central Coast's fishing and seafood heritage for 22 years. A chef's tent features special seafood preparations, and fresh North Carolina seafood may be purchased on the festival grounds. There are also arts-and-crafts vendors as well as all sorts of food, live entertainment, rides, and a blessing of the fishing fleet. If you've never tried alligator, here's your chance.
