Fodor's Review:

Take a tour of what was once the first major peanut farm in North Carolina, the 1850 Greek Revival manor house, and its outbuildings. You can also see blacksmith and weaving demonstrations as well as farm animals (goats, sheep, horses, rabbits, and chickens). The site also includes the 67-acre Abbey Nature Preserve.

  • Cost: Guided tours $8
  • Open: Mid-Feb.-mid-Dec., Mon.-Sat. 9-5, Sun. noon-5
