Dining at a shaded table on the Spouter's deck overlooking Beaufort Harbor and Taylor's Creek is one of life's treats. Boats glide by, you see a wild horse or two on Carrot Island just across the way, and a waiter appears with a cold drink and plate of steamed shrimp. Prime rib and maple bourbon barbecue ribs are popular alternatives to seafood. And the bartenders are some of the friendliest in town. An on-site bakery produces all manner of confections, including a gloriously rich carrot cake. Sunday brunch choices include quiche, omelets, and eggs Benedict with crab cakes. There's indoor seating as well.
