New Bern's historic downtown district has a diverse collection of clothing, jewelry, and crafts and antiques stores.

You can find nautical items and hand-carved wooden ducks and birds at local craft shops in Duck, a few miles north of Nag's Head, and in Wanchese, at the south end of Roanoke Island.
