Two side-by-side homes (circa 1768 and 1851) make up this romantic B&B in the historic district near the waterfront. Rooms reflect an eye for detail; they combine contemporary and antique furnishings from the owners' world travels, and many have fireplaces, four-poster beds, and original art. Space has been put to good use to create surprisingly large shower stalls and bathrooms. There's a small wine bar in the registration area. The Carolina Cottage suite attached to the main house has its own entrance and a whirlpool bath. A full breakfast is served buffet style in the dining room, between 8 and 9 AM. The gardens are a favorite spot for wedding receptions.

Perfection
Posted by spiveymom from North Carolina on 1/4/07
My husband and I have stayed at The Cedars countless times over the last 8 years. We have NEVER had anything but perfect service! We have never heard even one comaplaint! It's a shame that someone who has never been to THE CEDARS would be allowed to print such a low rating. Perhaps there was a good reason for the "slow" response that particular day.
We have always had calls returned and have also communicated by fax several times.
The owners have always gone above and beyond to make our stays wonderful - down to remembering what foods my husband is allergic to!
We shall miss The Cedars.

my boyfriend and i have been fans of the cedars for years, and have always been 100% satisfied with our experiences there. the people are friendly, helpful, caring, and responsive, the food is delightful, and the rooms are all beautiful. we go to the cedars for a weekend getaway at least once a year, and i swear, my blood pressure falls 20 points just walking through the front door. we have recommended it to others countless times, and we have even taken our parents there to stay as well. i have yet to hear any complaints from anyone! i am depressed that this will be their last season, but am looking forward to one last visit in december. cheese grits, here i come!

Can Not Get An Acknowledgement!!!!!!!!!

I tried for over 36 hours to contact this estableshment for a reseveration by e-mail, telephone and fax. Could not get an answer. Obviously they have all the business that they need and want. Needless to say that I will NOT waste my time and efforts on a business that will not take the time to answer a simple reservation request. My opinion is that these people have forgotten where their core group of support was. May they go out of business! No tears shed here!
