A huge rustic barn houses this local institution. The dimly lighted, always-busy restaurant is known for its steaks, baby back ribs, prime rib, fresh seafood, and an 85-page wine and beer list. The clubby Wild Turkey Lounge is an after-work destination for Research Triangle Park workers and travelers who just landed at RDU International. A wine cellar, an outdoor pavilion that seats 350, and a teaching kitchen where chef Walter Royal shows off his Iron Chef skills, are well suited for larger gatherings. The oversize desserts are freshly made; on your way out, you can purchase pies at a small stand near the front door.

Been around but never had a better dining experience. Very comfortable rustic atmosphere with very friendly, professional and attentive staff.
