The emphasis at this downtown eatery is on the heat, color, and flavor of Latin America. Art splashed with vibrant shades of mango, lemon, and papaya complements exposed-brick walls and hardwood floors. Live salsa and merengue is the perfect backdrop for the likes of orange-and-cumin-encrusted salmon over black-bean rice cakes, and tender grilled chimichurri (a piquant Argentinian herb sauce) flank steak served with tortillas and three salsas. On weekends the place is open for dancing until 2:30 am.
