Fodor's Review:

If you want to know where the locals eat, just follow the scent of oil to this storefront institution in the historic South End neighborhood, just across I-277 from Uptown. The place isn't much to look at, but that's OK because the food is to-go only. And the chicken is the reason to go—and go again and again. A light crispy coating cuddles succulent meat so juicy you'll begin to understand that there is indeed an art to running a deep fryer. Take some back to your hotel in Uptown and make everyone on the elevator jealous with the scent of Southern-fried goodness.
