Ballantyne Resort Hotel

Fodor's Review:

Nestled on 2,000 acres, Ballantyne is a stately structure, with towering two-story windows in the lobby that make a strong impression. Even if you check in expecting a vacation filled with golf and tennis, you might find you can barely budge from the spa. The spacious guest rooms have classic furniture and color schemes of gold, cream, and sage. You can choose a sunset view or golf view. The Lodge, designed for corporate retreats, has a great room with a fireplace and a porch with rocking chairs. Pros: luxury defined. Cons: not convenient for exploring city center.
