Fodor's Review:

The North Carolina Botanical Garden, south of downtown, has the largest collection of native plants in the Southeast. Nature trails wind through a 300-acre Piedmont forest. The herb garden and carnivorous-plant collection are impressive. A new visitor education center is slated to open in summer 2009.
