This café's menu—a combination of dishes inspired by the seasons for meat eaters as well as vegetarians and vegans—changes daily. Salads are amply portioned, and the breads, soups, and yogurts are made on the premises. Whenever possible, the eatery uses locally grown produce, just as it has since it opened its doors in 1975. There's live music every night and during Saturday and Sunday brunch, and dancing on Saturday nights starting at 9:30. The blond wood, brightly hued contemporary art, sunny dining areas, and well-spaced tables all add to the relaxing vibe. The restaurant is midway between North Carolina State University and downtown.
