The Franklin Hotel Review
Guests come to this boutique hotel, which is just minutes from the UNC campus, to be pampered. Its posh amenities—including marble bathrooms, in-room spa services, iPod docks, and a pillow menu— lend an air of sophistication, while the understated elegance of the building's design blends with the neighborhood's village aesthetic. There's on-site parking, too (truly a luxury in Chapel Hill). Guests can people-watch from room balconies or mingle with the after-work crowd at Roberts, the cushy ground-floor bar and patio. Service is spot-on, from the friendly hosts behind the counter to the well-versed bartender. The setting and the luxury combine to make guests feel both part of the college scene and far-removed from their everyday lives.
