North Carolina Museum of Life and Science Review

Here you can ride in a flying machine, sail a radio-controlled boat on an outdoor pond, view artifacts from space missions, and ride a train through a wildlife sanctuary. The nature center contains such animals as black bears, red wolves, and lemurs. The three-story Magic Wings Butterfly House lets you walk among tropical species in a rain-forest conservatory. In the Insectarium you can see and hear live insects under high magnification and amplification. One of the museum's newest exhibits, the Dinosaur Trail, gives you a glimpse of what life was like millions of years ago, and comes complete with massive dinosaur replicas. The museum will be closed Mondays through May 2013. After that date, check for Monday times.
