Fodor's Review

Don't be put off by the dowdy cinder-block exterior or the low-rent West Asheville neighborhood. Inside this dimly lit, narrow little restaurant that feels like a dive bar you'll find some of the most creative cooking in town. The dinner menu changes daily and features both small and large plates. Expect dishes such as seared scallops with smoked corn bisque or lamb shoulder with blue-corn frybread and a smoked quail egg. There's a full bar, though the beer selection is limited. On weekends, late in the evening, the restaurant stacks up the tables and chairs, and serious dancers hit the floor.
