Hudson River Theater

Fodor's Review:

The misleadingly named Hudson River Theater, a Hudson institution, offers a dizzying array of campy, gut-wrenchingly humorous entertainment, much of it involving men dressed in homage to various larger-than-life female stereotypes. Co-owner Dini Lamott, former vocalist for the band Human Sexual Response, frequently takes to the stage as the improbably voluptuous Musty Chiffon, whose repertoire is heavy with psychedelic '60s tunes like "Itchycoo Park" and "Incense and Peppermints." Shows are at 9 PM Friday and Saturday; disco dancing to DJ sounds starts at 10. Drag shows, movie nights, concerts, and puppet shows round out the fun. A full bar is on the premises.
