The circa-1906 colonial-revival house, a 15-minute walk from the Rondout waterfront, sits on two hilltop acres surrounded by flower gardens, picnic tables, and a hammock. You can take in the the grounds from two furnished porches. Inside are antiques, eclectic portraits, sculptures, ceramics, two pianos, and two woodstoves, but the house is so airy and spacious that it doesn't look cluttered or precious. Two of the guest rooms share a bathroom and a sitting area, which has a TV. (The living room has another TV.) There are two resident dogs, so the owners welcome canine guests, too.
