The Hudson Valley Restaurants

The Locust Tree

The Locust Tree Review

A historic building houses this northern European restaurant, where dishes such as crispy veal sweetbreads over wild mushroom and sweet potato fricassee, and market-fresh fish en papillote with garden vegetables display the kitchen's love for organic, local ingredients. The menu changes seasonally, and daily specials are always available. Part of the restaurant inhabits a stone Dutch Colonial with fireplaces, beamed ceilings, and hand-carved woodwork that dates from 1759.
