James Vanderpoel House

Fodor's Review:

The 1818 Federal house in downtown Kinderhook displays historic exhibits about life in Columbia County. The rooms have plasterwork ceilings and graceful mantelpieces; the foyer, with its curved staircase, is especially graceful. Pieces by New York cabinetmakers are displayed throughout.
