Playland Park

Playland Park Review

One of the oldest amusement parks of its type in the country, this National Register site on the Long Island Sound is known for its Art-Deco architecture and the fact that it retains some of its original rides (its carousel was built in 1915). You can swim, boat, fish, and picnic on the grounds, or skate indoors in winter at the Ice Casino. The park is 10 mi northeast of Yonkers in Rye.
