The inn, adjacent to a 250-acre lake and surrounded by forest, includes an 1860s manor house that's listed on the National Register of Historic Places, a carriage house, and a cottage. Most guest rooms are large and have working fireplaces and whirlpool tubs; several have decks. Manor-house rooms have Victorian wallpaper, Oriental rugs, four-poster beds, and antiques. Carriage-house rooms, outfitted in Adirondack-lodge style, have private entrances and beamed cathedral ceilings; one has a cupola skylight and another has a sleeping loft. Accommodations in the Adirondack-style cottage have cathedral ceilings and full kitchens. Breakfast is served on the manor's veranda (screened or glassed in, depending on the weather), and the complimentary snack bar is open all day. You have plenty of recreational choices, both on the 20-acre property and nearby, and inn owners Ivan and Ru Weinger provide most of the gear you'll need.
