Mahayana Buddhist Temple

Fodor's Review:

An oversize incense holder decorated with dragons sits before the main hall of the temple, where golden Buddhas have held court since 1971. The 130-acre Buddhist retreat houses several other Chinese architectural delights, including the seven-tiered Jade Pagoda. South Cairo is about 7 mi northwest of Catskill.
