Roscoe Diner

  • American

Fodor's Review

This quintessential upstate diner has been owned by the same family since 1969. The menu has a bit of everything: omelets for breakfast, soups and sandwiches for lunch, and hearty steaks, seafood, and chicken dishes for dinner. The restaurant holds a fond place in the hearts of regular Route 17 travelers who have stopped in for a slice of pie or a belly-bustin' breakfast—always comforted by the fact that not much has changed since their last visit.

Great expirence

We visited on Saturday evening and were presently surprised by the decor and the waiter who immediately arrived and introduced himself. He kindly asked if we would like to know about the dinner specials and promptly brought our drinks over. I decided on the Flank steak, which was cooked to perfection and very tasty and my partner tried the seafood saute which he thoroughly enjoyed. I would recommend the Roscoe Diner to anyone looking for a quick bite

or a nice full course meal.
