Family Adventure

The Frost Valley YMCA (2000 Frost Valley Rd., Claryville. 845/985-2291. www.frostvalley.org) spans some 6,000 acres of mountains, woods, and rivers. The camp is open to individuals and families, and draws scouts, yoga lovers, and outdoors enthusiasts. Guests can participate in a wide array of activities including archery, climbing, arts and crafts, fly-fishing, canoeing, winter sports and more. Accommodations for families and groups are available from August until mid-June, and lodging options include everything from tent platforms and dormitories to a quaint fly-fishing cottage that sleeps eight.
