Fodor's Review

This narrow, meandering park follows the Bay Ridge waterfront and has spectacular views of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge and the ships moving in and out of New York Harbor. The promenade is perfect for a long walk or a bike ride. Before you hit the promenade, be sure to check out the American Veterans Memorial Pier (south of Owl’s Head Park at Bay Ridge Avenue). Home to Brooklyn’s official monument honoring those lost on 9/11, it’s also a busy fishing spot with plenty of benches to sit and take in views of the Statue of Liberty and Lower Manhattan.
