Fodor's Review

With gently rolling hills, awe-inspiring views of both the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge and Manhattan’s skyline, as well as gracious and stately old trees, this 24-plus-acre park is a popular retreat for local families, dog walkers, and loungers basking in the view of ships entering and leaving New York Harbor. There are basketball courts, a popular playground, a dog run, a skate park, and a spray pool. A winter visit can mean a Rockwellian scene of neighborhood kids launching themselves down the park’s popular sledding hill.
