Fodor's Review

This bright and beautiful Buddhist temple is at a very busy corner, at the foot of the Manhattan Bridge Arch on the Bowery, where gilded lions guard its entrance. Inside you'll find a 16-foot-tall Buddha seated on a lotus flower (allegedly the largest Buddha in the city), incense-burning urns, hand-painted prints, and a gift shop on the second floor.
