Fodor's Review

Founded in the late 1980s, this museum has roots in the collection of its founders, Charles Leslie and Fritz Lohman. The well-curated exhibits are usually photographic, with much of it sexually charged or at least homoerotic.

Best for gay art lovers!

If you like 'gay' art, you should not miss Leslie Lohman Museum. I purchased twice from them (in their previous locations when it was still the 'gay art foundation' and each time I experienced a great level of welcome, service, patience, willingness to help you finding what you really want (painting, drawing, watercolor, theme, etc.). As a relatively young artist myself (well, doing bronze male sculptures when I am not too busy with Villa Rainbow,

my small gay guesthouse in the Caribbean), I dream to be there one day! I strongly recommend to visit the Museum, you will be impressed by the choice and quality.
